8 Months!

Today my little baby turned 8 months! To celebrate we went to the track to introduce Truman to gambling...OK, really we went to celebrate my birthday and Grandpa David's birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA DAVID!!! What a lovely day we had with Grandma, Grandpa, Baba, Uncle Pat, Auntie Tina, and Aunt Misty. Truman kept winning on all the horses he picked so next week he will be going on his own to place some more wagers. Maybe he'll grow up to be a bookie....his daddy would be proud! Thanks Jerry for such a wonderful birthday weekend!

Here's a pic of Truman and I at Woodbine....go Johnny Hollywood go!!!!

Saturday afternoon we met baby Leo for the first time. What a cutie! I can't believe how alert he is for only 6 weeks. He was almost awake for the entire few hours that we were at the Sullivan's. Tzen and Tash seems to be doing very well and have adjusted to parenthood beautifully! Congratulations again!

Looks like Truman is going to take after me with my love of coffee...here's a pic of Truman getting his caffeine fix on Friday afternoon after a long hard day of shopping for mommy's birthday gift. I can't believe he is drinking the competitor's brand...honey, where's the Bucks?

Going to the Zoo Zoo Zoo

You can come too, too, too...we're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo! What a fun, busy, sunny day it was! I think everyone else had the same idea we had. It was like Toronto came out of hibernation and decided to go to the zoo. Jerry and I never noticed kids at the zoo before. I am sure they were always there, but funny how perceptions change. Ryan, Rebecca, Jake, Ben, Steph, Christine and Dash joined us. Truman had a wonderful long nap as we walked around and checked out the animals. I wish I had someone to push me around in a stroller so I could sleep. After a few hours of walking around and deciding not to pay the ridiculously high prices for pizza we headed out for a nice late lunch at our favourite place, The Pickle Barrel. Delish. As if Jerry and I hadn't walked enough, we decided to go for another walk yesterday afternoon so that Morrie could also partake in the glorious weather. We would love to have taken Morrie to the zoo, but I am almost positive he probably wouldn't make it out of the park.
Speaking of Morrie, my love for him is definitely coming back. Well, not to say that my adoration completely went away, but he can be trying at times and maybe I am just being more patient with him.
On Saturday afternoon we went to the Home Show and met another architect that seems interesting. Then, Jerry and I went on a date Saturday night while Wanda and David babysat Truman. Tdot was a good boy and fell asleep easily although, he was coughing and sneezing a lot when we got home. Lucky for us, he slept through the night and was in great spirits on Sunday.

Here's a picture of our independent boy trying to brush his own teeth. In fact, every night he insists on "brushing" his teeth! What am I going to do with him?

Spring has Sprung!

Spring has sprung! The flowers are blooming, and finally we can go outside and wear minimal clothing and enjoy the warmth. Truman and I have had enough of the rain and cloudy skies and are ready for the next few days of sunshine! Although, Monday Truman did look adorable wearing his raincoat! Today we have already been on two walks, as we (I) can't get enough of this weather!

On Monday night Truman said "dad" for the first time and I think it melted Jerry's heart. Jerry called his mom right away to tell her the news. He has said it a few times since. Truman also clapped for the first time yesterday. So every time we say "yeah" he will put his hands together and clap as he imitates us! He also mimics us verbally...if I say "oh" he too will repeat it. Such fun! He's been such a ham lately and loves attention and I am so happy to give it!

Our week was full as usual with our activities, but Truman seems to enjoy salsa and swimming the most. Salsa, because he is the star of the show and swimming because he loves to splash around. He is not afraid of the water at all, and next week we are going to try to dunk him.

Truman and I can't wait for the weekend so that we can spend some time with Jerry as he has been away twice this week and we miss him terribly. Poor Morrie spent one of those nights at the door waiting for Jerry to come home.

A Little Brokeback?

Truman made the rounds this weekend. On Friday we drove out to Brooklyn to visit Alison and Alexis for a little playdate...the two kids interacted a little together, well, as much as a one year old and a 7 month baby can play together. Alexis will be walking on her own anytime soon and hopefully Truman will be inspired! Friday evening we had the Topolski family over for dinner and Baba was able to feed Truman his dinner again.

Saturday afternoon, my friend Lana and I took Truman to the Baby Show. My oh my did my little man flirt with all the ladies. I don't think he stopped talking for the three hours we were there. His favourite word these days has been "dadadadada"...why not mom??? Anyhoo, when we got home, Ryan and Jake came over for a few minutes to say hello and to show us how well Jake is crawling. He is like Rambo and is totally on a mission when he moves! Here's a compromising photo that we put them in. We're sorry for the Brokeback shots, but we can't help it. Blame it on your dads and their "relationship"!!

Today we went to visit the Thornton's for a lovely brunch - delish! I am still full and it has been many hours since we ate. Little Dash slept for most of the visit (what a sweetie), Christine brought out some handcuffs, and Truman was on pretty good behaviour with only a few bouts of chachiness.

Who Loves the Water?

Today Truman had his first swimming "lesson", well it was less of a lesson and more of a chance for him to become familiar with the water. Nonetheless, Truman of course loved it! This however, was not his first time in a pool so maybe that helped! Today we did learn a new trick to help Truman be more comfortable on his back in the water. He loved to splash the water with his hands and arms and loved to kick his little feet! My little fish!

Here is a picture of my little angel sleeping, which has taken me all afternoon to try to do. He just did not want to go down after our class at all and Morrie was not helping matters as he has been prancing all over the house non-stop. I am having one of those days where I have zero patience for my little puppy. Anyhoo, I resorted to running some errands in hopes he would fall asleep in the car...and it worked (I transferred him three times and he stayed sleeping). Truman has now been sleeping for about 2 hours (yipee!), so I have some time to update the blog.

I have also started giving Truman a sippy cup...here are a few priceless shots of him. I am just not sure how much of the water he is actually drinking. Most of the water winds up on the front of his shirt or on the floor from the countless times he drops his cup.

My time has run out, I hear my little bug waking up!

Happy Easter!

What a fun weekend! Here's a quick recap as to how the Topolski family spent their Easter...

Friday afternoon Pat, Tina and my parents came over for a nice Easter Brunch. We all spent the day eating and playing with Truman. Saturday morning Jerry, Truman and I went to Pat and Tina's for breakfast. Jerry and I wanted to bring Gryfe's bagels, but for some reason all the bagel shops that we normally go to were closed! Jerry and I were both so exhausted Saturday because for some reason Truman decided to wake up at 2am. We tried to let him cry it out, but he cried more and more until finally at about 4am I brought him into bed with us. I think the only one in the house who got any sleep was Morrie! Saturday afternoon we went to Voyteck's house to celebrate his 70th birthday. Saturday evening (because of our exhaustion) Jerry and I stayed home and watched a movie. Again, Truman woke up at 2am (what is happening?) but this time he only cried for an hour. I was so happy that Sunday was such a relaxing day, we needed the rest. Ben, Lauren and Tim came over for breakfast (little Ben is such a cutie!!). Then the family travelled to Ajax for Easter dinner. After dinner, we took Morrie for a nice walk and let him off leash for awhile. Morrie decided to try to catch some geese and found himself in a pool of cold water (poor puppy). I am happy to report that Truman slept through the night yesterday and I am hoping that he will do the same again tonight. My fingers are crossed.

Truman's First Passover

On Monday night we celebrated Passover at Ilana and David's house. It was so nice of them to ask us to be a part of their seder. It was also Truman's first Passover Seder, and although he did not find the Afikomen, his aunt Luscia had a gift for him. Unfortunately we had to leave before dessert was served as poor Truman was tired and was ready for bed. He was a very good boy up to that point and had a lot of fun sitting in Grandma's (previously known as Wawa) lap. Jerry and I had to take turns eating our dinner and entertaining our son!

On Tuesday, Jerry decided to take the day off work and spent it with Truman and I. Jerry was so excited to take Truman to Gymboree, even though Truman was coming down with a little cold. Jerry had a lot of fun playing with Tdot, singing songs and mingling with the other mothers!

Tuesday night Truman had his second Passover Seder at Grandma's house. I've attached a picture of Truman, Jerry, and Michal at dinner. As well, here's a picture of Baba feeding Truman. I think Baba enjoys feeding Truman as much as Truman likes to be fed by Baba. It is really nice to watch!

Truman's new favourite "word" to say is "oh"....I had to capture it in a picture, because it is so adorable to watch him round out his lips and jut them out to say "oh". He loves to just say it over and over again. Now, when will he say mom!

Tonight Truman, Jerry and I went to the Sullivan's for a nice get together to see CK and Alex. Katie and Jamie were also in attendance. We ordered some pizza and had a yummy salad. Truman's cold seemed to be getting worse as the night went on and his eye kept gushing (I felt so sorry for him). Unfortunately, CK and Alex's flight was delayed in Cincinnati so Truman and I were only able to see them for a moment as they arrived just as we were leaving. It took Truman a little while to fall asleep once we got home (he would not let me leave his side for a second). He's now fast asleep and in dreamland.

Tomorrow Pat, Tina and my parents are coming over for an Easter Brunch. Happy Easter Everyone! It's good to celebrate both holidays!

Weekend Update

Friday afternoon, Truman took his first subway ride downtown. He didn't really seemed fazed by the trip, I was just happy he didn't dislike it! I was also very surprised at how helpful people were being to us, helping me carry the stroller up the stairs and holding doors open. Truman and I met Misty for lunch where he enjoyed playing with and being held by Misty for most of the meal. Truman and I then went for a quick walk around Winners before we headed down to the Eaton Center to meet Jerry. Truman got another tour of Jerry's office and met many of his colleagues. Friday night, Truman met Jerry's cousin Olenka and her husband Eric for the first time. Ola and Eric live in Vancouver and are visiting Toronto for a few days.

Saturday Jerry, Truman and I decided to go shopping in Buffalo last minute with the Sullivan's. Truman got some new play clothes which he seems to need more these days as he is moving around so much. After shopping, we wanted to go to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner, but when we arrived to the restaurant there was a two and a half hour wait! Too long for three young kids, and four hungry adults to wait (even though the cheesecake is definitely worth the wait). We decided to go to the Olive Garden for dinner instead. As you can see in the attached picture, Truman is looking at the menu deciding what he wants to eat! Pureed sweet potato!

This morning Jerry, Truman and I went to Ajax to take Nanny and Oopa out for breakfast. We then ran some errands and went to some open houses. Tonight we had Baba, Wawa, David, Ola and Eric over for a nice dinner. Truman was his normal happy self and was enjoying all the attention. Tdot has been sitting for longer and longer periods of time and he also loves to play with Morrie. Whenever Truman is being "chachie" I call Morrie into the room and I am guaranteed a smile!

7 Months!

Today Truman turned 7 months! Although he looks happy in these pictures I captured (he LOVES the camera), Truman and I had a rough night. I put Truman to sleep just before 8pm and he went to sleep quite easily. At about midnight he woke up screaming. I tried to soothe him as much as possible by going in and giving him his pacifier and teddy, but he wouldn't stop crying. He was definitely in pain from his teeth that are coming in, so I took him out of his crib and brought him in bed with me. Poor thing did not stop moving around all night. We slept the best from about 6am to 9am. I am hoping I will have enough energy to make it through the day! A nice cuppa Buck's will probably help me through!

Two More Teeth (Number Five and Six!)

On Monday night I noticed two blisters on the top of Truman's mouth on his gum line. One of these blisters started to bleed by the end of the night which never happened before. It looked as though two teeth may be breaking the surface, but his gums looked different than last time. Funny thing, he is not getting his two front teeth! Although, he has not been teething in the usual order. He has been sleeping a lot over the last few days and was crying since he woke up this morning and is now taking a nap. Poor guy! My arms seem to be the only thing that comforts him, which does not bother me at all!

Monday night we celebrated my father's 65th birthday. The family went out for dinner and then had dessert at our house (made by Tina of course). I think she made the BEST dessert ever....chocolate brownie cake with a white chocolate mouse and candied bananas....my oh my!

Yesterday Truman and I went to Gymboree and had a blast (I had such a workout!), we played and played some more. Truman has been flirting with all of our instructors lately and talks to them as they are giving the group instructions. I can't help but laugh! We then went on a nice long walk with Emily and Grace and enjoyed the beautiful weather. I was in much need of a nice Starbuck's coffee. What a warm and glorious day yesterday...I can't wait for the warm weather to stay!

Today, I am getting a much needed haircut and Nanny and Oopa are coming downtown with us. Hopefully Truman will be OK and not in too much pain.

The Weigh In: Part Six

I took Truman to his seventh month appointment...I was so worried that he hadn't put on enough weight, although he felt heavier I still had some reservations. I am happy to report that Truman is now just under 17lbs...weighing 7.68 kg. The solid food is sure helping him! He also shrank 1 cm...so I am assuming that the measurements from last time were wrong! Not the most accurate form of measurement! We are going back to the doctor in two months time just to make sure Truman is gaining enough weight. He is still only in the 25th percentile for weight. Plus, it will give me some peace of mind!

This week Truman tried pears and green beans...and what a reaction! It was so funny that I had to record him. I have been trying desperately to find a way to post the video...it makes me laugh every time I watch it! When he takes a bite it is like he is consuming something really strong. But now Truman's favourite thing to do is to spit out the food and spray it at me. I am trying so hard not to laugh because I am trying not to encourage this behaviour! But, truly it is adorable.

Yesterday afternoon Truman and I went for a nice long walk with Emily and Grace and enjoyed the beautiful warm weather. I can't wait for the warm temperatures to stay! Last night Jerry looked after Truman while I went out with the girl's. Both boys had a lot of fun together going for a walk and visiting Wawa. Next week we are starting both swimming lessons and Gymboree and are looking forward to them both!

I also wanted to wish my father a Happy 65th Birthday! We can't wait to celebrate on Monday!

Sitting Pretty

Yesterday Truman hit another developmental milestone...he sat on his own for a long period of time (meaning more than a few seconds)....he seemed quite proud of himself and was enjoying this new sensation! I am not sure how long he sat for, but it was at least 10 minutes! Wawa and David were over last night to witness this occasion! I am such a proud momma!

Yesterday afternoon we went to Ethan's third birthday party at this awesome indoor playground. Although Truman couldn't really "play", we had fun going down the slides together and Truman of course enjoyed flirting with all of the people. Other party attendees that we knew were Stephanie, Christine and Dashiell. Little Dash was such an angel and he slept through the entire party. I hope that I'll be able to hold him next time. Christine was as sweet as always and had so much fun playing with all of the toys. We also saw Rebecca, Shane and Harry. I can't believe that Harry is already a year old! Here's a picture of Harry, Scott and Truman (aka Harry S Truman)....OK we think it's funny...sorry! Ethan was having a great time playing with all of his friends and little Olivia looked like a princess!
So, March seems to be a popular month for birthdays and we have a couple of people we would like to send wishes out to....
Happy 1st Birthday Alexis! Happy 3rd Birthday Ethan! Happy Birthday Myriah! We hope everyone enjoys their special day! All the best!
Also, congratulations to Tzen and Tash! We can't wait to meet Leo!

Snuggle Bear

This morning, I put Truman down for his nap and when I came back in the room, this is how I found him! Fast asleep cuddling with his bear! Too cute! My little bug is still sleeping! We were suppose to be at Becca and Jake's at noon, so looks like we are going to be a little late!

Tonight Truman is going to be babysat by Wawa while Jerry and I go out for dinner with some of Jerry's work colleagues. I am looking forward to it (especially the coconut cream pie - best in the city! Yum!). Truman is looking forward to having a few hours alone with his grandmother!

This week all of our classes were cancelled because of March Break, but we still managed to stay busy. On Tuesday, Jerry ended up coming home early and we took a nice long walk and went for coffee and even sat outside! BTW, I can't wait for spring!! Wednesday Truman and I met Macayla and Bronna, Jake and Becca for coffee and lunch. Yesterday afternoon Nanny and Oopa came over for their weekly visit. Nanny enjoyed feeding Truman and helped my bathe him before bed. Tomorrow we are planning to meet Lana for lunch to catch up.

Happy 60th Nanny!

Yesterday Oopa, Tina, Pat, Jerry, Truman and I celebrated Nanny's (my mother's) 60th birthday! We all had such a wonderful evening....and Truman was excellent at the restaurant. It was only at the end of the meal when he had enough and started to fuss. We were all surprised at how good he was being! After dinner the gang headed back to our place for dessert, which of course was made by aunt Tina....yum! Tina made an orange blossom butter cake, with date mousse filing and iced with a chocolate ganache! We all took part in bathing Truman and then put him to bed (although he did not want to sleep). Truman woke up again in the middle of the night (two nights in a row) and had trouble falling back asleep. I hope this does not become a pattern, because I am having trouble falling back asleep too after he wakes up. I was up last night for two and a half hours until I decided to make myself a warm cup of milk. I was so tired this morning that I didn't even hear Jerry get out of bed!!

Truman and I walked Jerry to the subway this morning and then went for a long walk! Jerry was going to take the day off to spend with us and he was heartbroken when he was presented with more work yesterday afternoon. Poor daddy did not want to leave us today, we'll count down the days until the weekend!

Today I am going to try to make some baby food....I hope it turns out OK!!!! The first few times Truman tried bananas he wasn't crazy about them at all, but once I mixed it with oatmeal or rice cereal he seemed to enjoy the bananas that much better! It's all about the distractions!
Jerry, Truman, Morrie and I would also like to wish Grandpa Topolski a Happy 60th Birthday! We are looking forward to our visit this summer!

Meeting a New Friend!

Friday night Jerry and I decided to go out for sushi since it would be a quick and rather painless dinner. Well, eating sushi with a baby on your lap is not the easiest thing! Our little bundle refused to sit in his Bumbo and wanted to be in on all the action. Truman was either trying to grab the food, hot tea or chopsticks. He's an active fellow! Our dinner was less than 45 minutes in duration! Nonetheless, we did go out!

Saturday afternoon we went to meet the newest member of our group - baby Dash! What a cute little fellow. I can't remember when Truman was that small (although Truman was bigger at birth than Dash is now). It was really nice to hold a newborn again and hear the little noises they make. Stephanie and Ben are both doing well and Christine seems to love her new little brother. Christine has learned to twirl which is so adorable! We also saw Katie, Tim, Erin, Jamie, Myriah, Scott, Ethan and Olivia at the Thornton's.

Last night we had a quiet evening at home and Truman had some difficulty falling asleep which I wasn't surprised about. He didn't have a proper afternoon nap, Jerry and I are convinced he is teething again and this time getting his upper teeth. He is continuously sucking on his upper lip (although he hasn't been drooling)....time will tell!

This afternoon we went to a Pampered Chef party at Ryan, Rebecca and Jake's house. Jake and Truman spent some time playing with each other. Macayla joined in the fun too as she is feeling much better and is almost over her cold! We then went for a nice long walk with Macayla, Bronna and Jeff and enjoyed the beautiful weather. We can't wait for spring!

What's Doin'?

Truman and I have had a busy week once again....we had a lot to do after getting back from vacation and we both were catching up on sleep! Monday we had our regular Salsa class and then walked around Bayview Village with Emily and Grace. Monday night we put Truman back to sleep in his crib and he did exceptionally well. He only woke up once for his soother! I am happy that he adjusted back so quickly! On Tuesday morning we signed up for swimming classes which start in April and we both can't wait (although I can wait to put on a bathing suit). Tuesday afternoon we went for a nice walk with Emily and Grace and enjoyed the sunshine, but wished it wasn't so cold....Truman and I were missing the Caribbean weather! Wednesday we went to library class with Becca and Jake. Both boys enjoyed the singing and the stories! Then Wednesday afternoon Nanny and Oopa came for their weekly visit. Yesterday we tried a Gymboree class and will be joining at the end of the month. Truman can't wait to play with Jake and Macayla! Last night we went to Aunt Misty's for dinner and Truman had a blast and giggled for most of the night. It took him about half an hour to adjust to Misty's house, but once he did he was in great spirits!

Both Baba and Wawa have been very sick this week and we have been very worried about them both. Thankfully they are both feeling much better now. We hope we will have a chance to visit with them this weekend.

Truman is still enjoying his food and has tried both carrots and sweet potatoes and seems to be liking both veggies. I am hoping to try bananas on the weekend!

The Weigh In: Part Five/Six Months!/Tooth Number Four/Trip to Dominican Republic/Fattening Up!/New Friend

Wow! So much has happened since I last blogged! I will try to capture as much as I can...I'm working on only a few hours of sleep!

On February 23rd I took Truman to his 6 month appointment. I was a little upset to find out that Truman lost 1/2 a pound. I know that this does not seem like much at all (and I had suspected that he had not gained much weight), but I never thought he would have lost weight! At the same time he grew 3 cm in length and is now 70cm! 90 percentile for length, 22nd for weight! The Dr. isn't worried about his weight loss, so I am not going to worry either. I am just so happy that I started him on solids early! To think I may have been starving my child.

February 24th we left for the Caribbean and arrived in Punta Cana in the late evening. Truman only got a little upset on the flight down, being that it was a few hours past his bedtime. The drive to our hotel was rather rough and difficult without a car seat, although we managed quite well under the circumstances. It was glorious to be in the warm temperatures! We were so happy to get to our room, we quickly unpacked, ordered room service and went to bed.

The next morning we woke up early to check out the resort and of course grab some breakfast. We also went to find Wawa and David to say hello. We travelled to Punta Cana with both sets of parents which proved to be very helpful and a lot of fun having everyone around. The grounds were beautiful and very well maintained. We had banana trees growing right outside our window! The beach was breathtaking! Truman loved playing in, or rather eating the sand. He was a little bit afraid of the waves in the ocean and cried every time we brought him in the water. We spent most days by the pool as it was just so much easier with the little one. Besides, Truman preferred the pool water and each of us had so much fun taking him in.

We easily got ourselves into a routine and our days looked a little like this. Truman would wake up early every morning and as I would feed him, Jerry or my father would get our regular spot at the pool. We would then either try to get Truman to go back to sleep, or go for breakfast and then try to get Truman to go down for a nap. Truly, Jerry and I wanted to sleep in and this was the only way to get a few more hours of sleep. Not that we should complain, as we were in our room by 9pm at the latest every evening and usually asleep shortly after that....but we were on vacation and enjoyed a little sleep in! We would play by the pool, take a dip or two in the pool, and then gorge ourselves at lunch with delicious treats. We would return to the pool for a few more hours of sun and fun. Then, every afternoon, Jerry, Truman and I would take a walk on the beach and go for cappuccinos in the lobby bar (Starbucks could be in trouble if Bahia Principie decided to serve their coffee as a large franchise operation!). We would head back to the room and to get ready for dinner and gorge ourselves again. The food was excellent, and I would not be surprised if we all gained some weight. But, we couldn't help ourselves...delish!

While we were away, Truman turned 6 months! I can't believe half a year has already gone by already! On his 6 month birthday Truman cut his fourth tooth, again on the bottom. He was a little upset that day. Well, actually he screamed quite a bit and I wasn't sure why - I looked in his mouth and pop! another tooth! Is this really happening? Four teeth already! The next day, Truman was his happy, flirty self. We were happy that the pain did not last too long. Truman has also learned to sit quite well on his own, he does on occasion slouch over to one side. He has however, learned to bend and reach for a toy and then sit up. He marvelled at himself doing this over and over and over again one afternoon. He has also really mastered saying "ba" and "ma" and has been looking rather determined to try to communicate with us. Hmm, I wonder what he is trying to say?

I also think that over the last week Truman has put on some weight (hooray!). His arms and legs look a lot thicker which I am very happy about. We were feeding him cereal three times a day while away. Which, believe me is not easy when you realize you have a limited supply of ready-made formula with you! We thankfully had just enough. I can't get over how much the little man LOVES food. I can't wait to try new foods now that we are back.

We left our resort yesterday in the early evening (so sad). Jerry held him in the Baby Bjorn and both boys were loving all the attention they were receiving. Truman would giggle and laugh and anyone who would make eye contact. As we were boarding the plane, I took him in the carrier and he fell asleep and stayed asleep until about a half hour before we landed. What an angel, really. When we disembarked, Truman again became a little flirt and was so happy to be around all the people. He fell asleep as soon as we got him in his car seat and slept until early this morning. He's been a little off today (can we blame him, I'm a little off too). We are really going to miss spending time with Jerry this week and we'll just have to look forward to next weekend when we'll have more time together again!

While we were away, Ben and Stephanie had a little boy - Dashiell Carter. We want to wish the Thornton's congratulations and we are looking forward to meeting the newest member of your family!

Tooth Number Three!

Truman had difficulty sleeping last night and was very congested. At about 5:30am, and having gone into Truman's room a number of times to help him get back to sleep I decided to bring him into our bed. Luckily, he and I slept for a few hours. I was just hoping the he was not coming down with anything, but it was apparent that he really needed to be comforted. I then remembered when Truman's last teeth came in how we thought he had come down with a cold but he was actually teething. Well, this afternoon I saw another little white bud poking through. Funny though, he is getting another tooth on the bottom and not top! How cute are his three little teeth going to look???

My father and I took turns carrying Truman around, as he would not be happy any other way. Even when he was trying to go down for a nap this afternoon I had to rock him to sleep which I have not had to do for a long time! I can't really complain though, he has been relatively happy considering he's teething,

Truman is really enjoying his rice cereal, and yesterday we tried oatmeal for the first time which he devoured! We will be waiting until we get back from vacation until we start fruits and veggies - but I can't wait to try! I hope he likes them! Only three more days until we leave for our trip, sunshine here we come!

Good Friends and Fun!

Truman had a very fun and busy weekend. Friday night we went to Baba's for a delicious dinner. We put Truman in his travelling highchair and he fussed and fussed, when we tried to take him out the tray was stuck which panicked all of us. We eventually got him out but have since returned the chair.

Saturday we ran a whole bunch of errands - we went to Toys R Us, exchanged our car seat, and visited the library for Jerry. We then went to the Sullivan's and had dinner with them, the Thornton's and Walshy. Olivia and Truman spent some time "playing" with one another and Christine gave me a wonderful hug! Unfortunately, Truman's witching hour came abruptly and we had to leave in such a rush I wasn't even able to finish my dessert. Believe me, you don't want to miss out on anything Stephanie makes! Our little boy knows when he wants to go to sleep...I guess we can't complain!

On Sunday we had Wawa and David over for breakfast. Wawa fed Truman his rice cereal, he loved it so much he wanted seconds. Then Wawa and David took Morrie and Truman out for a long walk while Jerry and I cleaned the house from top to bottom. In the afternoon, Truman, Jerry and I went to Ryan, Rebecca and Jake's house for a lovely "pasta bar" dinner. We were joined by Bronna, Jeff and Macayla. It was so cute watching the children "interact". Jerry tried to give Truman his first sip of Coke, luckily I stopped them in time! :)
